KILLER NURSES on Tubi is a murder mystery thriller featuring a serial killer. It’s exactly as kitsch as you would expect from the title. However, that title isn’t an actual spoiler. It’s a little more tricky. Read our full Killer Nurses movie review and find it on Tubi!
KILLER NURSES is a new Tubi Original and if you’re familiar with Tubi movies, you’ll know that they can be both hits and misses. For this one, it is mostly a hit if you enjoy the more kitsch approach to a murder mystery thriller. However, part of the ending was also a miss for me.
Still, I was a lot more entertained than I expected to be. Especially due to those two nurses from the poster, who play the lead roles, but are not the actual killers. You can be a “killer” in more ways than one. The runtime is under an hour and a half (excluding commercials).

A serial killer targeting nurses
As soon as I saw the title of Killer Nurses, I was getting ready for yet another movie about nurses killing their patients. You know, like the true crime documentary Capturing the Killer Nurse or the fictionalized version The Good Nurse.

Instead, for this movie, a serial killer is on the loose and targeting nurses. A hospital is having to hire traveling nurses because their nurses disappear all the time. All kinds of reasons (excuses) are told as to why they disappear, but we will soon learn the truth.
Mia Challis and Jonetta Kaiser shine
After a fellow nurse dies under mysterious circumstances, our two traveling nurses decide to get to the bottom of things. It all points to an egomaniacal doctor, but there are other suspects as well. Could it be simple or is it a lot more complex?!
You’ll have to watch Killer Nurses on Tubi to find out. And, for the record, you should actually check it out!
Especially thanks to Mia Challis (Clickbait) as Drew and Jonetta Kaiser (A Party to Die For) as Jade. They are fun when needed, and full of heart and strength, when this is required.
Drew and Jade are the two nurses, who are fed up with people just accepting that nurses disappear without a trace. Also, they found the body of their friend, so they know at least one murder has definitely happened!

Haylie Duff (Killing All My Sisters) is the director of Killer Nurses with the screenplay written by Mary Risk (Blood, Beach, Betrayal). While I can easily get behind any serial killer thriller using kitsch elements to drive the plot forward, I do have one warning;
If you’re the least bit experienced in the field of medicine (or just watched a lot of Grey’s Anatomy), you’ll get irritated during hospital scenes.
A lot of words are said that make little to no sense. From which doctors are needed to what procedure is required. Also, while our two main characters are sometimes efficient and fast nurses, they seem to forget all their training when it matters most.
For that reason, we’re ending on 2½ out of 5 stars. The kitsch elements pushed it towards 3, but these more strange and unfortunate actions pulled it towards 2, so we ended in the middle. Even if we don’t usually give half ratings.
